whacked on the rear!

“Oh no! Not again!”  I heard myself said when a strong jerk rocked my car! I was on my way to work and all of a sudden, this blue 4WD in front of me cut into my lane and braked! I managed to bring my car to halt just centimeters from the 4WD. Then this car behind mine did the same and stopped his car just in time less than a few inches short from nibbling on my car’s butt. Then, a long high-pitched screech was heard coming from behind us and I was on automatic praying mode reciting, “Oh God no, oh no, oh no! Oh…!”

I came out to check on my car. As usual, the traffic around us slowed down and all eyes were on us! A jam was slowly building up. To my surprise, the rear of my car was fine – no fresh scratches or dents! I guess the kangaroo bar must have absorbed some of the impact. The car directly behind mine was okay too but the third car that had banged onto the rear of the car behind it sustained quite a bit of damages on the hood cover (both their cars were identical with the exception of colors) . It was like being folded in a reversed, ‘V’!

As I observed from my rear-view mirror while driving off, I saw the two drivers gesturing in a friendly manner and then drove off to different directions!
